The grounds of Glen Foerd are open daily, free of charge, from dawn until dusk. The grounds are closed after dark and during private events.
The mansion occasionally closes for private events, so please check our website or our Facebook page for closures.
Guided tours of the Mansion are offered on Fridays and Sundays at 11am. Tours cost $5 for adults and seniors; children under 12 and active service members are free. Tours last approximately one hour and involve climbing up & down several flights of stairs. The second floor of the mansion is not air conditioned during the summer, so please be aware that this floor may be noticeably warmer.
Saturday Free Open Hours
Not interested in a tour, but want a glimpse inside? Visitors can visit the mansion for free self-guided exploration on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm. Visitation of the Rathskellar and Art Gallery are limited.
NEW! On first and third Saturdays we offer free drop-in family activities.

Glen Foerd is a Mansions Along the Delaware destination. Enjoy a visit to the Delaware Riverfront estates of Glen Foerd, Andalusia, Pennsbury Manor, and Grundy Mansion (available upon request). Your group will embark on an elegant bus tour to explore three centuries of gracious living in Bucks and Philadelphia Counties. A wheel chair lift is available, but can only access the front porch of the mansion. A wheelchair ramp is available to access the mansion sun porch. The mansion restrooms cannot accommodate wheelchairs or walkers. Mansion tours include three floors of the home. Guests should be comfortable climbing stairs (railings are available on all staircases).
ENTRANCE & PARKING
The estate's entrance is at the crossroads of Grant Avenue and Milnor Street, Philadelphia, Pa 19114. Parking is available behind the mansion- follow the posted signs. To enter the mansion follow the riverside path to the mansion's riverside door.
Please drive slowly through the neighborhood and the estate's gates and roadways. Be mindful of pedestrians and wildlife, and be aware that the neighborhood streets surrounding Glen Foerd are all one way streets (driving in the opposite direction or turning around is not permitted). If you miss the entrance gates please make a left onto State Road and the next left at the traffic light onto Fitler Street to re-enter the neighborhood.
We have plenty of wildlife on site, please use caution and slow speeds when driving through the estate.
We currently do not have pedestrian walkways along the main drive, so please be mindful of pedestrians and dogs on the roadways.
We encourage all guests, as you would in any outdoor space, to use caution and check your clothing and skin for ticks after being outside.
RULES & REGULATIONS
Glen Foerd is a Fairmount Park property. Visitors are asked to follow the rules and regulations set forth by Philadelphia Parks and Recreation: City of Philadelphia Rules and Regulations.
Alcohol and smoking are prohibited.
Dogs must be leashed.
Open fireworks and sparklers are not permitted,.
Professional photography permits are required, please contact the office.
Please be respectful of the plants that make up our historic landscape by refraining from climbing trees or picking flowers.
Do not harass or disturb the wildlife while on the property.
Drones and floating paper lanterns are not permitted because Glen Foerd is located within 5 miles of an airport.
Please refrain from climbing all historic statuary and structures, including buildings and railings.
