Did you know Glen Foerd is home to a number of malpe trees? Join the staff of Pennypack Environmental Center to learn all about Maple Sugaring, the process of collecting sap from maple trees and boiling it down to produce maple syrup. You’ll learn which trees are used, what sap is, how to tap a tree, and how to turn sap into syrup. Oh! And we can’t teach maple sugaring without a taste-test, so be prepared to taste some fresh deliciousness from our Sugar Maple trees. 

This program is intended for adults and children ages 12+.
