Make your own paper out of foraged plants! Join teaching artists from the Paper Think Tank and transform invasive plants into beautiful handmade paper.
The workshop will begin with an introduction and identification of collected plants and an overview of the fiber preparation process. From there, participants can make a variety of handmade papers using the prepared pulp and extra materials foraged around Glen Foerd. This workshop is suitable for all skill levels.
This workshop will be held outside at the Glen Foerd Carriage House at the end of the driveway. In the case of inclement weather, the workshop will be held inside the Carriage House.

Paper Think Tank is a community accessible hand papermaking studio, housed in Brandywine Workshop and Archives in Philadelphia, dedicated to making paper, collaborating with artists, and growing the paper, print, and book arts communities of the city.
Paper Think Tank produces sustainable and local handmade paper and books using invasive plants and renewable resources. We offer classes and workshops both in the craft of sheet production, as well as the creative applications of paper and paper pulp to make original paper artworks. The goal of Paper Think Tank is to strengthen the community of hand papermakers in Philadelphia and bring greater visibility to an under recognized art form.
