On 10 years of Artists in Residence at Glen Foerd
Since launching our Artist in Residence program in 2015, we’ve had the profound honor of collaborating with visionary artists who have reimagined this historic site through bold, thoughtful, and deeply personal lenses. Over the years, artists have explored Glen Foerd’s layered histories using diverse mediums, research methods, and storytelling approaches—each one breathing new life into our grounds and challenging conventional narratives about the history of this land.
In recent years, this program has flourished thanks to support from the National Endowment for the Arts. Now we face a difficult moment: our funding was unexpectedly cut this year. Still, our commitment remains unwavering. We believe in the power of art to spark curiosity, inspire dialogue, and reshape how we see the world—and we are determined to keep this vital program alive for years to come.
