Easter eggstravaganza!

Easter time is here!  While it looks a little different this year, Glen Foerd would like to celebrate with this fun and creative activity for the whole family!  Joins us in making your own salt dough Easter Eggs!

Upcycled Nature Journal Activity

Every great explorer needs a journal to record their observations and findings!  Create our own upcycled journal using materials found in your home and in nature.  You can use it to record what you see while walking our grounds at Glen Foerd or what you see in your very own backyard!

Watershed Science Activities

Where does water come from?  Why is it important?  What is a watershed? This month, we will explore how water moves on Earth, what a watershed is and why it’s important, and find out what watershed area we live in!

water tower challenge

We use water in our everyday lives for drinking, cleaning, cooking, and playing in. When we turn on the faucet, the water flows out for our use. Where does our drinking water come from? This month, we will investigate where our drinking water comes from and build our own water tower.

Mini Greenhouse aCTIVITY

What do plants need to grow?  How does a greenhouse help?  This month we will explore what plants need to grow by building our own mini greenhouses.

BIRD IDENTIFICATION AND LOGGING

Did you know you can learn to identify birds online? Take a look at ebird.com to see a list of bird sightings at Glen Foerd, and log your own! You can also use this website to see the characteristics of common birds: Just click on each type of bird to see what they look like and even learn their calls!

ACTIVITY BOOK

We found a gem in our files! Take a look at this wonderful Activity Booklet, prepared by dedicated volunteers, Kathy and Bob Jaskowiak.

Inside you’ll find more pages to color, trivia about Glen Foerd’s history, and exercises to connect with the wildlife on site.

Coloring Pages

While many of us are sitting at home, we encourage you to use your hands and get creative!

We’re posting coloring pages inspired by Glen Foerd’s mansion and history. Download, print, and fill the pages in for some fun at home.

We’d love to see your finished coloring pages. Send us your stuff on Facebook and Instagram!
