Roof Replacement
Roof RestorationAfter evaluation of the old metal main roof at Glen Foerd, it was determined that the existing terne plate metal roofing system had failed due to age and metal fatigue. In order to recify this serious problem, the metal roof was removed section by section, the rotted decking and rafters were replaced as needed, and 30 pound felt paper underlayment was placed for water stoppage. Locked seams were flattened and thoroughly soldered. All other areas of significant pitch received 20 ounce lead coated copper standing seam panels, which conform to the specifications for standing seam roofing. Lastly, copper 3 x 4 downspouts were fabricated and installed at all new outlet locations.
